Lynn Jacobs - Do You Wanna Go Somewhere
Lynn Jacobs is a singer songwriter who has appeared, disappeared and re-appeared on the music scene for many years. While hibernating in Montana, she flew back and forth to Nashville signing single song contracts with both large and small publishing companies (such as Polygram). After appearing at the Durango Colorado songerwriters conference, she met Mike Wineland, an industry executive, who offered to move her to Nashville.
While in Nashville, she developed a following and was quite well-known.
She has performed at the Bottom Line in NY, the Bluebird and the Exit Inn in Nashville, as well as clubs all over the Washington DC/Baltimore/Alexandria, VA area.
With a degree in Music Theory and Composition, and a minor in classical guitar, she has written all types of music. Her songs will make you think. They span a wide range of emotions.
Recorded at Penny Lane Studios (Phil Kenzie's place), Do You Wanna Go Somewhere is only one compilation of songs. Phil, with an incredible dossier, allowed her to co-produce. She and the boys had a grand time. Phil can pull the best out of anybody and plays an incredible sexy sax.
Here is what a few industry folks have said:
?her music reminds me of everything from Sarah McLachlin, Carly Simon, Alanis Morrisette, to Cheryl Crow, but she has an individual style. She also has what I feel are hit singles? Phil Kenzie - Real Good Records
Live, a traffic jam (everybody stops to listen/look)...her guitar playing reminds me of Shawn Colvin...BMI, Mark Mason
From alternative country to pure pop sensibility Lynn Jacobs has what it takes to be a household name. Nick Katona ? Melodic Revolution Records
