Amberies Diary - the makeout scene

Bio
Know their roots: After Harkcoms first group failed to take off, the guitarist decided to take a break from rock n roll and nearly hung up his strap for good.

But I figured Id give it one more try, he says.

Harkcom and Oldt, a mutual friend and fellow veteran of the local music scene, decided to start a new music project. After recruiting Markano and Monticciolo, the quartet placed an ad for a singer on MySpace.com.

Cluck responded, though Harkcom says the group was hesitant at first. But he says whatever fears they had were quickly laid to rest.

At first we werent sure because his vocals werent quite up to par. But he came down (to the audition) and was amazing. End of story."

In August the group's hard work paid off, as it was signed to Workers United Records.

It was pretty cool, it says a lot. We really didn't think it was going to happen but they (the label) were like All right, let's do this.

The band recently wrapped up the I'm Afraid of Robots tour with Georgia-based rockers, Veara, and is currently writing material for an upcoming album. The disc is tentatively scheduled for a spring release.
